In my case, the 4000 series head was same price as equivalent geringhoff(both used, similar condition). I went with the geringhoff simply because if I'm spending that kind of money, I want it to be proven. Geringhoff is proven quality, 4000 series jury's still out yet on how they will hold up. Parts are a wash around me, if anything geringhoff might be a bit better because both CaseIH and Deere carries them.
