Seems to me that all small animal vets that are located in cities are always much higher with their fees than a country vet that primarily works with large animals. That said, I would prick it and flush it out. Be my luck if I spent any money on a barn cat, the coyotes would pay me a visit that night.
My exact thoughts.... we have lost a number of cats to Coyotes this year. This old girl is a Survivor!
But...it's hard to spend money on a cat when I have a batch of new kittens in the shed.
I will try and drain it somehow.
She is tough as nails. I plan to cut a hole in a feed bag and try and get her head through it so I can contain her. I'm sure she could claw her way out of a steel safe if she had to lol
