3 Strikes - You're Out!
We plugged an SCR on a Puma 160 last year, what a PITA. Case is ver reluctant to warranty the SCR chamber but it supposedly can be soaked and cleaned. Use a borescope camera to explore the honeycomb and look for blockage. Maybe it will fix itself if you reset code and pull the heck out of the tractor for a long enough time to burn the residue out. Not handy if you don't have that kind of work to do.
At least have them update the software and change sensors, hopefully you are still u dear the 5 year warranty on emissions equipment
I’m still kinda surprised more guys don’t just invest into a full def delete for the price instead of sticking thousands into repairs. Ours had flashed the SCR failure once just cycled the key to backlflush and went away. If a guy keeps his machine for 2-3yrs taking it off’s almost a no-brainer |
