Western WY | I will be doing this to my chute soon. My wife is headed back from Salt Lake City as we speak with a Model 91 with a frame. Used very little. Bought it for $400. I will be cutting the manual rope pull head catch off my old chute and weld the frame of the 91 to mine. Then I'll bolt the 91 to the frame. With my current head catch, you must weigh at least 140 lbs and be strong. When my wife helps me she has to hang on (dangle from) the rope to catch the cow, and that's not 100% effective. Not a chance that any of my kids can do it, though they've tried.
I'll be doing this for the meantime, as I'm planning on building a hydraulic chute this winter. | |
