We use turkey litter........just because we can get enough of that, and not enough chicken.  Chicken I would bet would test higher in N........but that could be ammonia N..........others will have to verify.

We use a Chandler spreader..........with spinners.

Our knight slinger spreaders just pulverize the relatively-dry litter, and make dust clouds.

We use both fresh and composted-------but the composted is of our own doing.
