niobrara nebraska
I'm guessing 75-150 around here. The 10th of august I would've guessed 0-75bu corn. The late rains came just in time to save the insurance company a TON of money. Went to Norfolk, ne today via 12 and then 81. A lot of holes burned in the fields, some even in the irrigated are burnt brown already. We have low yields but no brown spots, yellow yes from drought, but not brown/dry/dead. Hard to believe NE Nebraska will be above last year. No way the irrigated will pull up the dryland that much. Our irrigated will be 160-170 which is about a 100bu kick from where it would have yielded as dryland. Pour dirt you can only do so much with in a drought with limited water out of a dam. Usually push over 200 a little in a normal year on those irrigated fields.
