E.Central MN | The Menards sales receipts have the mail in rebate receipt printed on the bottom of the regular sale receipt, just have to clip it off with scissors, fill out the rebate form and mail the two items in. The past couple weeks they have had separate weekly 11% sales, with the rebates going to the same place so you can combine them in the same envelope and use one stamp. When they receive the combined rebate forms, they total the rebate amounts and send it on one card which saves them postage, too.
Other places that offer rebates like Fleet Farm would print a duplicate receipt but you had to ask for it when you checked out, when I was there a couple weeks ago they automatically printed a second one so maybe they changed the software in their computers.
Its pretty easy to forget to mail the rebate forms in, but you don't get the sale savings if you don't send them in. I hate giving anyone money for no reason other than laziness. I fold the rebate checks and stick them in my checkbook so I remember to use them at the first opportunity. | |
