Northwest IL Jo Daviess Co | I feed about 50-60 head per year - 8 to 1 feed to pound of gain ratio. I also feed a hot ration of 14% - add bean meal and oats plus other goodies. I have a cow calf herd(small) and I figure between creep feed, grower ration, finishing ration - a little more than 100 bu. Also, with the low prices I get better bang for buck by feeding it even with lower cattle prices. Just my take - |
