Although we both know your plan won't happen... more then just the land managers would suffer in your scenario

The way I see it this isn't a "land investor" cause issue. This is a stupidity and ego issue where guys are bidding rents up to above break even to keep the land or to "grow". Let them go bust IMO. The land owners aren't putting a gun to their heads to pay stupid rents.
