Subject: RE: Question for FoodSaver owners

Sw mn
Have had a food saver for many years. We always use food saver bags since we had problems with other brands not sealing. As for the vac sealing jars we do it all the time we call it dry canning. We buy corn starch, brown sugar, flour, sugar, soda, baking powder, rice, beans, powder sugar and many more dry goods in bulk. Then we put it in pint or quart jars and vac seal it so it keeps longer.

This past weekend we got 25 lbs of flour for 8.25 and 25 lbs of sugar for 11.20. So it helps the food budget to buy in bulk and repackage into jars.
