Heart of Ohio | Earlier in the month drying out seemed to be quite beneficial to the beans, they made an impressive change for the better. End of this last week seem to be showing they could use a drink again, honestly can't tell you last measurable rain "here", but been awhile, (yards have really slowed down and begun to brown). Pod set in the beans look to have good potential to me, thinking some rain soon could have a sizeable impact on seed size and final fill going forward. I sense average to slightly above yeilds in corn and beans over all (corn stands are less than ideal, but acceptable for the most part), Variable sums it up pretty well around me, good drainage is going to pay above average dividends this year. |
