South Central Iowa
Soybeans yielded 44.0 and trend line was 42.6 that year.

Corn yielded 164.7 and trend line was 153.4 that year.

There was never drought of any significance that year; that summer appeared to have been moist. Planting appeared to be behind pace. Crop condition ratings for August 23 were 70 GE Corn and 69 GE Soybeans compared with 62 and 60 respectively this year.

Price wise, Dec Corn 2009 would put in a low of $3.02'0 on 9/8 and Nov Soy would put in a low of $8.78'6 on 10/5, although it did have lower lows in March and the prior year while ZCZ was a contract low. The structure of the market was very different from today. Price had recently fallen from over $7.00 corn and $15.00 soybeans the prior summer in 2008. Also, there were some economic issues occurring at the time.... lol....
