| This is a screen shot of 9-8 but 9-9 cover a much wider area. In fact it dips into north east Iowa an s northern Illinois. The chery areas of the corn belt may see an early end of the season. Even if it backs up and doesn't affect a big area the grain fill weather is substandard at best. We need heat and moisture to pack starch into those kernels and beans. We will see lighter test weights and smaller beans. The good news is the demand will increase because it will take more corn to make a gallon of ethanol and finish off livestock. They have been used to good quality grain the last four years. Although the usda won't adjust any report to reflect it until march. | |
