As I recall, back in 2010 the crop ratings were much higher than they are today. So.....either someone under estimated this year's crop conditions OR they are over estimating the crop yields. That someone is the USDA in both cases.
No, no, no, It's just that the genetics have improved so much in the last 7 years, crops can yield tremendously even under stressful conditions! I'm sure that my water stunted corn with thin stands and now fired and tipping the ears down from dry weather will make well over 200bpa!!! Haha!! |
