The USDA isn't going away
Pro-Farmer isn't going away
FC Stone isn't going away
Crop condition ratings aren't going away
The August report isn't going away
The vast conspiracy against farmers isn't going away
The eclipse IS going away (for 7 years)
Enough with the "coulda, woulda, shoulda"
How about some civil discussion about a plan going forward with the cards that are dealt?
BTW - I'm bull spread. Early it seems, but not too concerned, yet.
I apologize! I think a reasoned discussion about the need for usda reports is overdue. Nothing gets done when people abdicate so lets talk. Imagine farmers knowing how much was in their bins and the buyer had to guess rather than farmers trying to freakin guess how much the government is going to say we have. Its so upside down. Do we need usda as a third party for buyers and sellers to do business? Seems worthwhile to find out what the merits of these reports are rather than just saying thats the way it's always gonna be. So again, what is the value to producers. I for one would love to market without usda influence on markets. Btw, not asking for usda to go away, just the foolish yield guesses and ratings (unjustified market movers) They can report planted acres cause they know that. |
