Northeast Iowa | Yea I'm having a hard time explaining my question:
I'll try to rephrase this
Is the USDA saying on average, US farmers harvested 9777 pounds of grain per acre last year (174.6 bushels per acre of 56 pound corn)? Or are they just counting kernels, ears, and looking at estimates and bin measurements that assume the grain is 56 pounds?
If the USDA isn't measuring yield by weight, then we have a potential issue with the figures | |
