SESD | I'll say it again, there will be a large amount of good corn in SD. I don't know what the NE part looks like, but SE corner(east of 281 and S of 14) will be pretty good overall. Yew there will be spots, but overall. A lot of the "downplaying" of the SD crop was because the outlook was not good, not that the potential wasn't there. We've had a great finish in August, and just enough throughout the season to make it good. Every guess on yield over such a large area is just what you paid for it, and SD will be the same way. I'd say between USDA and ProFarmer right now, but wouldn't be surprised if it went higher. We know how to grow corn out here if the weather works. | |
