EC SoDak | I'd like to see their routes on a map to get a better feel. They keep pretty much Sioux Falls and south and I don't believe they go too far west (east of hwy 281 and west of 281 is the bad stuff) if one believes the drought maps, looking at comparing last year to this year, one would have guessed they'd be down this year. I'm not sure what the moisture profile was to start with down there though. I heard they seen some 225+ corn on the eastern route of SoDak. None the less, the EC and SE regions account for almost half the production of the state. They missed the bad and they missed alot of the good, hats off to them to dial in what they decide on a state average at the end of the week.
Drought maps are Aug 1&2 of 2016 & 17
