Pasco WA.
It sounds like I had better play it safe and not place any fertilizer directly on the seed. I have a set of saddle tanks and it is still expensive to buy the pump and openers for a conventional 2x2 system. My 8 row mounted planter is also short on room to mount the openers. with the recent run up in grain prices if the sweet corn processors do not give us a substantial price increas next year I am not growing any anyhow. I will either plant grain corn or leave it in alfalfa. It sure is fun to have options:)
