Biggest money makers on my farm:. Tile, personal sprayer, bins, efficiency, marketing. Having a banker whom believes in hedging and it's benefits helps a lot for margin calls. I don't spec what's not covered by physical, unless it's a way short crop. But hedging during historically peak months, playing the spread, binning, catching improved basis tends to make me a lot of money. In '12 it hurts, but '12 doesn't happen that often.
