My guess is you are in a rut. You are making less money farming 3K acres vs if you would farm 700-1000 acres of owned ground.
Ergo you are in the mid range black hole
You either need to double or triple your operation or you need to scale down to a size that lets you diversify with off farm income, maximize your sweat equity and use all these levers to buy land
There is no longer the in between guy. You are either small and diversified allowing you to be nimble and efficient buying ground you farm or you get huge | |
