If we continue to produce these huge crops, and continue to sink further into liquidity issues, why not take some ground out? Ten years ago we had a lot more grass waterways and terraces, all came out with larger equipment and less qualified sprayer operators. These areas still exist but now instead of grass holding them, they're just gullies. Not everyone is farming fence to fence but some do to justify th rent. Just a thought, I know this will get flamed because S.A will just expand, fact is you'll never compete successfully against them. This might be a great way to conserve our more sensitive areas and hopefully at least rise prices. Thoughts?

Just look at the past history, crp did not work. If we don't produce it then someone else will. This is a world market not just a US market we are dealing with. All crp has done is drive up the rent and land prices in my view.
