The fan if it is working will shoot a good volume of air above rear tire on each side. Make sure screen above coolers along with the coolers themselves are clean.
If fan isn't working, they are belt driven with a 90 degree gearbox.
In my opinion, the 873 is one of the best Bobcat ever made.
