Hogsforever - 7/28/2017 06:53 I'm surprised to see the leg is in a pit. Did you run a tile for water drainage of the pit? Looks good but man is cleaning a pit leg out 1000x harder than ground level, especially with a tower. No criticism just curious

Good morning Hoggy -

We had to do everything the way we did because we are so flat here and the water table sits on a layer of clay that is close to the top of the ground.    We made a sump hole with a five gallon bucket (should have used a cattle lick tub!) and everything now drains into that corner with a trash type sump pump to clean it out.  We also raised up the leg 12 inches and it now sits on top of a big H beam frame so it shouldn't get wet if the pump does its thing.

We just installed a new sewer line from a house next to this set up, and we had to go over 1000 feet to get enough drop in the line to hit a waterway to drain it all out.  That line is higher than the bottom of this pit, so we couldn't use the same line for drainage.  I wanted to have it all just gravity out, but the cost to do so would have been budget busting.
