Subject: RE: Subsoiler vs Disk Ripper Please explain the difference if any

Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana
In this part of the country.

A ripper is generally a tool that goes below the plow hardpan layer, a disk chisel is simply a chisel plow that has a row of disk blades to cut trash to prevent plugging. A ripper runs at a much deeper depth.

A subsoiler is the same as a ripper ...... a disk ripper has disks to cut trash and prevent plugging.
