Subject: RE: North Dakota soybeans

Beresford, SD
Tank is empty and hazards are on......not to far behind here on the I 29 corridor! If we don't get a good rain in the next 7 days we are all crop insurance......lord help us, I want to raise 220 or 20 Bpa......160 is no mans land. Corn and subsoil are good enough that 2012 (.5 to 45 bpa) shouldn't happen, but it starting to resemble 2006 or 7 here.......5-8 foot tall corn with no ears. Time will tell.

Two/three weeks ago tiles were running good and crop was off to a great/late start........rolling hard today on the light spots. Thinking about tuning up the cutter for silage...........,best financial situation for me (if under 175) is 60 bpa = decent silage and a good insurance check. Hope that's not the case and we catch some rain! I tend to cry wolf, but a rain is desperately needed soon to avoid the adjuster this fall.
