Subject: RE: Who makes the best battery jumper cables?

We've got 3 or 4 pair of the 2-ga / 20-ft Gemplers cables around. All are at least 10-years old. It almost takes two hands to squeeze the parrot clamps, which is good.

The Gemplers cables we have appear to be all copper wire, rather than copper clad aluminum. Although, like I said, ours are 10-years old or older so who knows what the current cables are.

I think the Gemplers cables were Forney brand, as in Forney welding. If I remember right.

2-ga (Forney) cable is 1/4-inch conductor diameter. The big Associated cables are 1/0 and 5/16-inch diameter.
