Rear wheels on 8n are standard small 8 lug bolt pattern same as most other tractors of the time. 9-2n are different. 2n does have the I beam axle links. Only 1940 model 9n had the aluminum dash.

If it has a external dust catcher with the jar its a 8n thats how to tell from a distance.

3 speed on the 9-2n is pretty useless. Low gear is too fast for a modern roto tiller. The sherman high low is kinda nice but it also doubles the pto speed which may not be good on a brush hog or other pto equipment.
