Subject: RE: JD 6430 hot hydraulic oil

NE Kansas
Our 6430 did the exact same thing last year on hot days. Didn't do anything to it and it did it again this year one day. The 6430 has a bad habit of getting an airlock in the water system resulting in not cooling properly. The temporary cure is to burp the system. There is a metric allen head plug under the radiator just to the right of center. Turn the plug loose and run the tractor watching the overflow tank, do not let it get low or you will have to repeat the process. We have had to do this several times over the years. I don't know yet if it cured our hot hydraulic oil problem yet.
