southern Illinois | Dave, i had the same problem this year with a 9650w i bought, it wouldnt spread over 20 ft no matter what i adjusted. read a jd bulletin about header flighting being the biggest problem with chopper spreading on the walker models. so my 925 header does not have removeable auger flighting so out came the grinder with cutting wheel and off came 4 inches on each side. that made a big differance but still had 8 inches on each side wider than the feederhouse entrance which measures 57 inches on mine. so of came another 6 inches from each side of the auger. and i had to narrow the spreading fins on the back of the combine to keep from throwing into standing crop. worked for me and didnt cost a dime to fix right.
