Faunsdale, AL | X2. ......check that the bypass screw is backed out on the hydraulic motor of the spray pump. Running the motor doesn't heat the oil up per se, its the excess flow going through the system relief valve and the whole system operating at relief pressure that causes the extra heat. If the motor bypass cannot be opened up enough to keep the pressure down, a flow divider installed in the circuit to the motor might be required.
The other question is are you somehow bypassing the oil cooler the way you have the return flow from the motor plumbed into the tractor.
Check the application instructions for the spray pump. The manufacturer probably has a solution.
