On the 630, Deere has optional skids to raise the cutting height. We are in a rocky area but so far with skid shoes and cutting at max height I've not had a rock get past the moco's heavy rubber belting shield in front of the cutterbar. I still have some nose down slope on the cutterbar. Does a nice job cutting this way and so far no rocks thrown.
