I agree. I use the NOAA weather app, it pulls directly from NWS and has the exact same data.  My favorite feature is the forecast description, the weatherman writes out the forecast and makes it much more accurate then 30% chance of rain today, a lot of time they localize it to north of the border, or west of I-35 etc.

In the spring green means 1", yellow 2", and red 4-5", once it turns dry green means clouds, yellow a sprinkle, and red a nice rain, purple who knows.
