Maybe. But if the bolts and bushings fastening the bar to the trail frame get greased, and the slip yoke at the top of the cutterbar driveshaft get greased, there's little chance for all this wear. Once again, a couple tubes of grease will save thousands in repairs.
Excessive up & down cutterbar movement is a big red flag.
