We didn't have a wet spring last year. I can't stress what severe heat and dry does to crops mudded in or flooded with rain and cool weather.If you haven't experienced it before you can't appreciate it.
Yes, unfortunately you are spot on with that statement! The damage from excess water must be healed with additional timely smaller rainfalls. In our area we were all praying for a break in the rainfall a week and a half ago to let planting resume, and have been praying for a shower to help out the crops that were mudded in two weeks ago. Can't hardly get a sprinkle now. |
