Subject: Planted in dry dirt

Jesup, IA
My weather station shows 2.4" of rain in May, heavily loaded to the front end. So crops on light ground are getting that weird hue. Another day or two of this hot dry wind and some corn will be rolling.

Not killing this crop by any means, but it is a year of extremes. Trying not to let backyarditis set in.

Many beans got planted, replanted between Highway 3 and Highway 9 in NE IA over Memorial Day weekend. And those beans are undoubtably sitting in dry dirt.
