I'd say in stutsman county nd lot of Barnes svea loams. Go further south and east some Forman and aastad soils. Not sure in sd but could be similar. Stutsman county nd has something like 2 or 4th most bean acres in country behind cass county nd(rrv).
I'm in nc nd and I have Forman aastad tonka loams clay loams. My wheat is showing stress now which surprises me as we had .9" about 3 weeks ago. I think the cool temps and wind slowed plant root growth while drying soil and now we flipped to hot and plants haven't found yet.
FYI
Gfs has 2" in 7 day forecast while euro is showin nothing for dakotas on latest 10 day. Be very interesting open in mgex tonight. Soee who they believe.
