SW Ohio
I wanted a no slop hitch on the fertilizer spreader rebuild and Bull Pull was just what I was looking for.....
But it turns out to be much bigger than I needed even thought I got the smallest one at the time. You are right in that the ball holder does not sit on the drawbar, but has room to pivot without having to ride up the hitch pin, trouble is you need the same clearance on the top side also, so I added a shim on top to keep it snug but have room to move/pivot. this required making the hammerstrap an inch taller than stock, maybe the newer ones are taller but my 50 series vintage was not. Actually made a sleeve that fits in ball with larger OD space on bottom to hold it up and longer on top, sticking out of ball above, and it reduces ball ID closer to my hammerstrap pin size.
