Earlton Ontario
Last year we dusted the beans in and cried for rain all summer. A couple premium rains in August resulted in the best crop of my carrier.

This year we have fought the mud every single day... Not once did we have dust behind the seeders. My beans look like crap at about 60% stand many of them taking 2 weeks to emerge after cold rains. Im not writing my crop off yet but I firmly believe in the saying "plant in the dust the bins will bust, plant in the mud the crops a dud!"

If the Dakota's dusted their crop in but had enough enough moisture to germinate... They could still very well end up having the best of a bean crop.
