Subject: RE: Bird Hybrids

I've planted Bird for two years. I was slightly pesimistic year one so I purposely placed the hybrid were I thought it could do well on some of our better land (Didn't want it to fail...Dad really didn't want to try it). It blew away all of our other corn buy 40 bu/ac. That opened my eyes! The following year I purchsed 4 different numbers to try. All four were the highest yielding on our small farm. I really like Bird's conventional hybrids...they really shine on our 1st year corn after soybean. I plan to continue to use Bird. I get good service and good agronomic advice from my dealer. My only regret is that I'm just small, part-time guy so take it for what it is worth. Some local BTO's get a chuckle out of my Bird signs in the summer(Bird is not well known in S. Central PA yet) but i don't think they would chuckle at the bottom line.

Good luck.

PS, the dealer/service is the biggest part of the decision in my opinion.
