Midwest | Southeast Ne. Corn stand is very good but the plants are delayed due to lack of heat. SB is having trouble with crusting. Some pivots running. My concern is the beans sitting in mud with a hard crust on top. They definitely do not like wet feet and the crust is making the stands spotty in areas. My long term guestimate is the corn will be a bumper crop and the beans will be below the 5 year average. | |
