I would add to that that unlike 2012 or even '88, most of the main corn producing areas have a well saturated soil profile right now and it's almost June. Even if the spigot shuts off now, it will take some extremely high temps to really do some damage. I realize that's little comfort to guys farming on sand, but *here* a well saturated soil profile in June can help weather a lot of challenges. thats not true. You forgot 2011. Wet spring and hot dry summers are devastating. The 2012 drought started in June 2011
