Maybe. I have wondered if mine may go first. She had one heart attack already and so we got to face that possibility. It turned out to be minor with no long term damage. On the other hand Her grandma lived to almost 100. We've been married 33 years. I joke it only seems like 50.

She's truly a great person, but our compatibility has never been what you'd call outstanding. We get along well but don't travel much together, or much else. We do have four great kids with four equally great spouses, the last one was just hitched on May 6.

I would not sit home lonely, but I would really need a lot of time to think about a replacement. A travel companion would be great, and I actually love to dance where she doesn't. The estate thing I would not ever want to complicate. My dad remarried, and his second wife and her sister loved to travel and spend. He died 7 years ago, and I've been pretty well assured there won't be much coming from my dads former estate. I would not do that to my kids... and my dad had no intention of it turning out that way it has. He thought he had it structured to prevent what has actually happened. He told me a lot about this right before he died, and I'm very glad he did. I wasn't expecting anything, but he was expecting to pass along a big chunk. It's mostly gone now.
