Subject: RE: soybean Planting depth

Michigan - Saginaw County
Like most I shoot for 1.5" with the planter
I get from 1" to 2" in going from near talcum powder to just this side of concrete - sometimes in the same field
I did have some beans on top of the ground where we were loading. I've been kicking dirt over them - hope springs eternal. i have to do it quick or my boy growls at me.

I uncovered a few beans today as we were putting down the Pre, to see how it is going
4 day old beans are digging their way towards the light already
3 day old beans have a smaller shoot and beginning to turn upwards
2 day old beans are just bursting out of the seed coat
Who knows what the year will end like, but so far I'm hopeful
