That is not true. A well written prenuptial contract will stand up in court. There needs to be full disclosure of assets , each party must have his or her own attorney, etc.
When I was in private practice, I drafted some for my clients that worked well. I have been a trial judge for 24 years. I hear a lot of dissolutions. I can not remember the last time a prenup was contested.
