| My Mom died from cancer33 years ago. Dad was 67. He was remarried 8 months later.
That might seem a little "soon" to some folks, but the lady he married was a family friend of long standing. She and her first husband had been friends and companions for many years with my parents. She lost her husband about the same time that my Mom died. There wasn't much "courting" which needed to be done. They were very happy together for nearly 19 years.
Sort of compounded the inheritance issues re: passing the farm on, etc. But we worked through it. Get the legal details worked out FIRST. showboat | |
