This is the kind of thing that has always bothered me with organic. If you accidently drift on to them, the cost is astronomical. But they spout religion and spread noxious weeds as they see fit.


Your bothers are unfounded. You don't need to make it an us vs. them. You can pick a bad apple out of any group. If you're growing a specialty crop whether it is seed wheat or organic wheat, you can't stop nature at a fencline. Digging up outdated weed laws or distorting the bible doesn't help your cause.

As far as religion is concerned, numbers 35 has absolutely nothing to do with this situation, unless he has some bodies buried on that land. Noxious weed laws are outdated, and poorly enforced in most areas. Lots of hot air being blown around on all sides. The county isn't going to spray. There's other control methods.

Why do we stop at weeds? Let's have the county scout everybody's soybeans and make them spray to stop the spread of spider mites or aphids. Have some anthracnose in your corn? County hires a plane and puts it on your tax bill.
