Subject: RE: Jag 870 vibration

BC, Canada
I think he has about 2000 cutterhead hours on it.
I'm interested in your theory about cutterhead pulley wear causing shakes.
The accelerator wasn't replaced when he peeled the knives a couple years ago, I'm wondering now if it got fatigued and has now cracked or something. He checked accelerator shaft runout and it wasn't bad apparently.
Main drive clutch bearings seem tight, we've cleaned all the pulleys.
Will check the drive gear box, going to pull back panel off accelerator and check for cracks. Will run without paddles and possibly without knives if we need to.

Much appreciated.
