I must have good seed reps/chem salesmen b/c I have numerous seed digging tools marked up to 6 inches laying around and in tractor cabs. I use two of those (or one and a knife/flathead screwdriver), scrape a lil dirt back, find the trench, find the seed...stick tool right on top of seed, lay other flat on ground, firmly. Read the tool where the flat one lays against it.
