My granddaddy said he used his you know what. He said he could read soil temps as well as depth that way
If I did that I'd be planting corn a foot deep.
and if anybody--anybody at all, even an old guy with metal detector--who acts like he doesn't even see you---is on the beach, don't be digging no clams with it!
